Open Arms is a part-time, short-term homeless shelter. The shelter is closed from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm each day (regardless of weather) to residents. Residents are provided with Food and Shelter, Case/Life Management, and Spiritual Care. The shelter takes the immediate burden of food and shelter so the resident can focus on the resources to regain self dependency. This is be accomplished by addressing physical and mental health needs, employment, and other resources identified at intake and with case management. Those accepted are screened prior to intake. The shelter can't manage severe mental health issues as well as physical limitations and needs. Spiritual care is essential in the overall well-being of residents and is offered through area churches.
