Military Veteran Peer Network is certified by the Texas Veterans Commission & run by volunteers. We offer peer support, suicide prevention training, warm referrals & we provide mentors for Veteran Treatment Court.
Detailed Services
The Texoma MVPN is coordinated by the Texoma Community Center with regular events and support groups. Services include Peer to peer support groups, help with navigating veteran resources in Texoma, suicide prevention, and volunteer training courses, including training for first responders. Peer-to-peer support groups include Bring Everyone In the Zone peer group, veterans luncheon, PTSD support groups, Clyde Cosper support group (for residents of Clyde Cosper) and women veteran lunch & evening peer groups. Certification courses offered include CALM (Counsel on Access to Lethal Means) training, AS+K workshops and TCOLE 4067 for trauma affected veterans.
